splish splash

As you can tell Oliver wasn't much of a fan of the splash pad! BUT the water was pretty dang cold even for my liking. So hopefully he'll warm up to it when the temperatures. It was a fairly windy day and only in the 80's.

We left shortly after this picture, as you can see the clouds were rolling in and the wind was beginning to pick up. We had a pretty good time though! And as long as Oliver was in my arms he was a happy camper!

MJ wouldn't go to bed and wanted to join us. Which really can you blame her? She didn't want to be in their room by herself knowing Ollie is with us in our bed. Finally after an hour or so past bed time these two passed out. I had to take a quick picture before I put them in their beds.

 Just as we are leaving the park...

 and about 20 minutes later when we arrived home.. haha

11 months!

I can not believe that in 28 days this little guy is going to be a year old! holy cow! It seems like just the other day it was MJ's first birthday party.
He is finally beginning to eat more and nurse a tad less. As long as he can feed himself that is. He has a sweet tooth and looooves treats which he has already been spoiled with slurpees, ice cream and popsicles.

Wearing 12 mo clothing. Although he has short little legs so he can still wear 9-12 mo pants and a couple of 6-12 mo pants.
Wears size 3 diapers
Loves bath time especially when it's with MJ, he throws and absolute fit when I take him out and crawls straight back to the bathtub after I wrestle him to get pj's on.
IS WALKING! is very close to doing it full time
can go up the stairs like a pro but not down. He continues to think he can go head first or sideways.
He has fallen off the bed like 4 times or something because he is so dang fast and will deliberately throw a toy to the floor so he can go get it.
Says ''Ba'' for ball and loves to play with them and drive the tonka trucks around on the floor.
Is freakishly strong. It some times takes both of us to change his diaper.
STILL not sleeping through the night, he'll wake up around 12:30/1:00 typically so I'll bring him into our room to nurse and end up falling asleep myself. I try to just nurse him in the kids room so I can put him back in his crib when I'm coherent enough haha.
Has had 2 hair cuts in 10 months which is the same amount as Mary has had in 3 years ;)

you are my sunshine

To say that I'm obsessed with this little boy would be an understatement. I am in love with the little mini me. He cracks me up. I love the way he squints his nose when he smiles and laughs, his determination even though that means he will only eat if I put it on the table for him to do it himself. When I say NO to him he just looks at me as though he's saying ''can you really say no to this face? let's try this again shall we?" I even love his temper tantrums how he'll throw himself to the floor with his hands first like a little gorilla then sitting up and going sideways, backwards all while looking at me waiting for a reaction. I bite my cheeks to keep from laughing. It's true what they say. After you have a child before you know you begin to think ''What did we do with out them?"

I love watching these two grow and see how much they love each other. Mary is a protective big sister as well as a typical teasing one as well. She'll wrestle with him, stretch out her legs and arms so he can't pass her through the door way, and take away the water bottle from him because it's ''her turn.'' He adores her and has the biggest smile on his face in the morning when he sees her. Follows her wherever she goes and giggles as she plays with him. 

I am also so very grateful to live close by my mom to enjoy beautiful days like this one.

 First time in a swing and he was loving it! giggling and constantly looking over at MJ probably thinking this was just the greatest thing ever.

He is all over the place crawling and couch surfing. He HATES to get his diaper and clothes changed. You'd think we were hurting him! He loves to follow sister and play with her and wrestling with her. They will charge (crawl) toward each other then she'll grab him and take him down to the floor all the while he is just giggling and loving it. He is for sure total boy and loves to play rough. Still not sleeping through the night. I don't know what uninterrupted sleep feels like anymore. Still nursing like a champ but we're working on solids more and more. He'll eat cheerios, meat, puffs, bread, popsicles, yogurt, strawberries, peaches, and pickles. He will be a hard one to wean off nursing. He is still such a light sleeper and is on a schedule that I know to expect him to wake up around 12:30 am to eat to which he just ends up in our bed since I fall back asleep while he eats. Then back up at 6:00 ish to eat again and is awake for the day until his nap which varies depending on our day activity. If I go to work out class at 9 then he doesn't sleep until after 10:30. When I don't go he'll go a bit before that time. He takes 2-3 naps a day. Says mama, dada, and occasionally bye bye. No signing with us, he just grunts and yells as much as we may practice. We only start with the basics of "more" "all done" "drink" and "food"

He is a total Mama's boy and is such a sweetie. I love his little giggles and cute little personality.
